Kelly Sibley bows out in Novi Sad
Kelly Sibley's run has finally ended in the European Youth Championships on the penultimate day of the event.
Kelly lost her last 16 match in the Cadet Girls Singles against Marharita Pesotskaya of the Ukraine this afternoon. In a long seven set match Kelly went down 5-11, 11-8, 10-12, 11-6, 11-8, 3-11, 6-11.
In the Cadet Mixed Doubles event, partnering 13 year old Darius Knight from London, Kelly also reached the last 16 before going down three straight to the number 2 seeds Marcus Freitas from Portugal (World 52 Junior) and Daniela Dodean from Romania (World 35 Junior).
Kelly will now be returning to England for some rest and then training for her next big event the Youth Olympics in Paris at the beginning of August.
