Kelly Sibley stars in Novi Sad
Kelly Sibley has beeen playing all this week in the European Youth Championships in Novi Sad
In the team event the England Cadet Girls team of Kelly and Lauren Spink attained a very creditable 13th place with Kelly winning 11 and only losing 4, one of the four losses being 1-3 against World no 17 Junior Galia Dvorak of Spain.
The team played against opponents from Spain twice, Slovenia, Croatia twice, Luxembourg, Serbia and Montnegro and France to attain the 13th place.
In the Cadet Girls singles Kelly is the only English player still in any singles competition. With wins over Dzenana Mujakic of Boznia and Herzegovina, Elizabeth Samara of Romania - the seed in her section, and Sandra Leijten of the Netherlands
Kelly now faces Marharita Pesotskaya of the Ukraine tomorrow afternoon for a Quarter Final place
