Kelly Sibley - England Senior Selection

Kelly Sibley has been selected for the Senior England Team for the European Championships in Courmayeur, Italy from 29th March - 6th April 2003.

Her recent performances in Sweeden and at the National Championships last weekend in Sheffield where at only 14 years old she reached the semi final of the Under 21 Event and the last 16 of the senior event were exceptional and cannot but have enhanced her chances of selection.

This a justified accolade well deserved as Kelly has put in countless hours of training both here in Leamington and more recently at the National Training Centre in Nottingham. Her dedication to the sport and work rate are second to none

The 4 person Womens team will comprise Helen Lower (Staffordshire), Georgina Walker (Nottinghamshire), Joanna Parker (Surrey) and Kelly Sibley (Warwickshire). Kelly is the youngest player to be selected for a senior England team for quite a time.

The same 4 players are booked prior to the event to attend a training camp in Budapest from 10th-14th March 2003 at the famous Statistztika Club which has produced some of the best Women players in Europe over several decades.

I'm looking forward to being in Italy to she how she does
